March 19, 2020 - The Governing Board of FTAZ has cancelled the Sunday Speaker Meetings and Freethought Forum discussions at the Conference Center of Tucson Osteopathic Medicine Foundation and the videos with discussion Special Interest Group held at Total Wine until further notice. We do so on the recommendation of the CDC and the City of Tucson to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and to help in keeping our membership healthy and safe.
2022 - The Governing Board of FTAZ has decided to dissolve FTAZ as of January 1, 2023. After filing the required paperwork and paying our outstanding bills, we plan to purchase complimentary memberships in the non-profit Secular Communities for Arizona for the 102 current FTAZ members. Additional funds in our account will be donated to the Secular Student Alliance, Tucson Atheists Community Outreach Team (TACO), Camp Quest, the Satanic Temple of Arizona, and the Secular Coalition for Arizona as decided by the Board.
We encourage you all to continue your interest in secularism. Arizona secular presentations are offered by the Secular Coalition for Arizona on its website, and previous presentations are available on its YouTube channel.
And please, vote in the upcoming midterm election.
Check out the upcoming presentations, group discussions, community events, volunteering opportunities, picnics, parties and other functions Freethought Arizona has on our calendar in our Meetup Group.
You may join our Meetup Group if you wish to be notified about all our events and get-togethers.
