Welcome to Freethought Arizona
Freethought Arizona was established to grow and support a community of freethinkers, humanists, skeptics, agnostics, and atheists based on reason, science, and critical thinking.
Our goals are to maintain separation of church and state, advance education and science, examine and discuss literature, support families, work to eliminate prejudice and discrimination and protect the civil rights of our members and others.
We hold meetings, sponsor lectures and debates, encourage discussions and protests, write letters to the editor, blog, create podcasts, broadcast appearances and any other reasonable and civil means available.
2022 - It is with sadness the Board of Freethought Arizona (FTAZ) wishes to confirm the forthcoming dissolution of FTAZ as of January 1, 2023, as previously indicated in our shared Dissolution Document. After filing the required paperwork and paying our outstanding bills, we plan to purchase complimentary memberships in the non-profit Secular Communities for Arizona for the 102 current FTAZ members. Additional funds in our account will be donated to the Secular Student Alliance, Tucson Atheists Community Outreach Team (TACO), Camp Quest, the Satanic Temple of Arizona, and the Secular Coalition for Arizona as decided by the Board.
We encourage you all to continue your interest in secularism. Arizona secular presentations are offered by the Secular Coalition for Arizona on its website, and previous presentations are available on its YouTube channel.
And please, vote in the upcoming midterm election.
Please check out ways to interact online at our LINKS. You will most likely find some friendly people, interesting conversations, and fun social activities. Come to any and all!
If you have any questions, please send us an email at info@freethought-az.org.
